About

Matthew F. Richmond

For over ten 10 years Matthew has been creating avant garde fashion!
Based in Metro Detroit, his inspiration stemmed from classic sitcoms and mid-century couture. Car Parts, Paper, Plastic & VHS Tape are just a few of the materials he uses in his unconventional designs. In 2010 Matthew established his brand, The Paper Dress Code. His award winning designs have been featured by Italian Vogue, CNN, Live Nation & The Forbes Company, (among many others) and admired by the likes of Cindy Crawford, Nigel Barker and Forbes Magazine. In 2013 Matthew was chosen to speak about creative inspiration at the University of Michigan's TEDx Talks. And, in 2015, Matthew was asked to judge the Apparel & Textile Fashion Show for the Michigan State University Textile and Apparel Program.
